Labyrinth on the Thames takes place at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich (postcode SE10 9NN), an area very well connected by public transport. Thameslink and Southeastern trains run from London Bridge, Waterloo East, Cannon Street and Charing Cross, stopping at Greenwich station, which is about a 10-minute walk from the festival site. Southeastern services also stop a bit further on at Maze Hill station, roughly a 15-minute walk. Alternatively, the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) serves Cutty Sark (Greenwich) station, just a few minutes' walk away, or you can take it to Island Gardens and enjoy a scenic riverside stroll. For a uniquely London arrival, consider the Thames river boat: Uber Boat by Thames Clippers runs frequently from Embankment, Tower Pier or Canary Wharf to Greenwich Pier, which is only a short walk from the event grounds.
If using the London Underground, the Jubilee line will take you to North Greenwich (near the O2). From there, a short bus ride or taxi brings you into Greenwich town centre. In fact, several London bus routes stop right by the Old Royal Naval College, including the 188 (which connects North Greenwich station with Greenwich Church Street) and the 129 (which runs through Lewisham to Greenwich). The 177, 199, 286 and 386 also serve the area. Buses can be a convenient way to link Greenwich with other parts of southeast London. Be sure to check Transport for London (TfL) for live schedule updates on event days.
If you plan to drive, remember that central Greenwich has very limited parking and can get busy in summer. The main car routes in are the A102 (via the Blackwall Tunnel from the north) or the A2/A206 from the south. Greenwich is also inside London's ULEZ low-emission zone, so check if your vehicle is compliant. There is no event parking on site (except for blue-badge holders), but there are some public car parks nearby (for instance Park Row and Cutty Sark Gardens). These tend to fill up quickly, so arrive early. Alternatively, consider parking at Maze Hill station (Park & Ride) or other outlying car parks and taking a short train or taxi into Greenwich.
For visitors arriving by air, London City Airport (LCY) is the closest, just across the Thames. From London City, you can take the DLR into central London (for instance to Bank or Canary Wharf) and then transfer to the Jubilee line or Southeastern trains to reach Greenwich. The larger international airports – Heathrow (LHR) and Gatwick (LGW) – are further away but still well connected by train and Underground. From Heathrow, take the Elizabeth line or Heathrow Express to Paddington, then transfer to the Jubilee line (via Bank) or Southeastern trains to get to Greenwich. From Gatwick, take the Gatwick Express or Thameslink to London Bridge or Victoria; Southeastern trains from those stations run directly to Greenwich. Stansted (STN) and Luton (LTN) also serve London, typically requiring an onward transfer into the city before reaching Greenwich. Once in London, follow signs for Greenwich or use a navigation app to find the quickest connections to your destination.
Greenwich and the surrounding areas offer a wide range of accommodation. Within Greenwich town, you will find charming boutique hotels, historic inns and guesthouses right next to the river. Larger hotel chains and serviced apartments are available near Canary Wharf or the O2 (just a quick DLR or Jubilee line ride away). If you prefer a quieter stay, consider nearby neighbourhoods like Blackheath, Deptford or even the City, each has good transport links into Greenwich and a variety of places to stay. Summer weekends in London fill up fast, so it is wise to book early. Many festival-goers stay for a night or two – this way you can enjoy a leisurely morning wandering Greenwich Park or visiting local attractions before heading home after the concert.
