Chiddingly Festival is a remarkable phenomenon. Now entering its 34th year, it is a feast of the arts, run entirely by volunteers, yet attracting big name and quirky acts in a wide range of genres. Music, dance, beer, sculpture, comedy, graphic arts, theatre, story-telling and poetry for all ages all feature regularly.

The tiny rural village of Chiddingly is in East Sussex, between Lewes and Hailsham, North of Eastbourne. Like many small rural villages, life revolves around the Church, the Village Hall and the pub.  We used to have a shop and Post Office - those were the days!

Chiddingly is a small unspoilt rural village in the Vale of Sussex in the heart of East Sussex with a fine church and village pub.  It can be reached by turning to the North off the A22 opposite the Golden Cross public house between Uckfield and Hailsham.  Entering the  postcode BN8 6HE into your SatNav or Google maps takes you straight to the centre of the village.

Events take place in a number of venues in and around the village, and in particular in the Village Hall beside the church.

Parking can be found opposite the church and across the road from the Six Bells.
