Started in 2009 as a way of giving the young local people of Alsager and surrounding Cheshire the chance to enjoy a summer event that breaks up the long holidays, Alsager Music Festival has grown in popularity and gained much support. The festival was originally and remains to be organised by a group of local musicians and attracts up to 5000 people each year. The event takes place in Milton Park and many local pubs have also got involved, giving more acts the chance to perform.
In 2015 the festival has attracted a wide range of acts including Dirty Rotten Souls, Don Gallardo, Headsticks, Lucan Mills, Sea Based Turtles, Sugar Rush, The Eyres, The Luka State, Ashley Fayth, Bonsai, Dayve Dean, Emily Jones, Irukandji, Cure and Gary Clark Jr, Moitessier, Release, The Jackobins and many more on the main stages. There are also separate line-ups for the acoustic stage, The Mere Inn, The Lodge Arms and many other local venues.
