Ultimate Painting

Ultimate Painting are a duo made up of Jack Cooper and James Hoare. They form after Cooper’s band Mazes tours with Hoare’s band Veronica Falls, and the two discover a shared interest in music, art and films. What begins as exchanged demos and informal jam sessions develops into a recording partnership.

The group takes its name from a work of art associated with Drop City, the Southern Colorado desert community known for its geodesic dome buildings. Their early recordings form the basis of their debut release.
