Tim Mason

Tim Mason is a German trance producer from Germany, known for house, progressive house and electro house production. He is signed to Size Records, the label run by Steve Angello, and emerges as a new artist on that imprint with his debut single, The Moment.

Early releases and recognition

The Moment attracts attention on dancefloors after support from Swedish House Mafia, Tiesto, David Guetta, the Chemical Brothers and Calvin Harris. Mason follows it with Anima, which also gains strong support online, in clubs and in the media from major electronic artists.

His release Swoon also receives broad club and radio backing, including support from Tiesto, Erick Morillo, Armin van Buuren, Thomas Gold, Arty, R3hab and Eddie Halliwell. BBC Radio 1 presenters Danny Howard and Pete Tong also support the track, with Pete Tong featuring it repeatedly on his Essential Selection show.

Touring and performances

Mason’s studio work carries over to live performance, and he plays across North America, Europe and Asia. His Roll Call tour comprises 74 dates. Festival and venue appearances include Creamfields, Ministry of Sound, EDC New York, SW4, EDC Las Vegas and San Diego Sports Arena.

Remixes and edits

His remix work includes tracks by Zedd, Moby, David Guetta, Lucid, Nadia Ali with Alex Kenji and Starkillers, Timbaland, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kaskade with Swanky Tunes, and Steve Aoki with Angger Dimas. He also makes his own reworks under the name OMG edits, an acronym for Original Music Garnished, and gives these away free to listeners.

Style and approach

Mason describes making music as a response to the connection he feels on the dancefloor. His productions are identified by trademark beats and rolling riffs, and his work appears both in clubs and on radio.
