The Nameless Girl

The Nameless Girl is a Surrey, United Kingdom duo active since 2010. The group consists of Samuel J Booth and Jemma Crook, who meet in a Surrey recording studio where Booth works as a sound engineer before they start writing together and form the act soon afterwards. Their sound sits across electronic, rock and pop, combining Booth’s darker, melancholic style with Crook’s clear vocals and an interest in pop music.

Releases and style

Their first self-published album, Bipolar, brings together those contrasting elements in a set of layered songs with a polished but distinctive character. The duo’s work is described as drawing on a collision of influences and styles.

Live work and radio

The Nameless Girl play gigs across the UK and complete their first BBC radio live session. They also perform in Ibiza for the official launch of the Bright Light remix.

Other activity

The track Tea and Cake is used in a television commercial. The group also have a connection with a major trance label through the planned release of the Bright Light remix.
