The Blind Hearts

The Blind Hearts are a UK group formed in 2010 and active since then. They are a five-piece band with members from Manchester, Mansfield, London and Japan. Their music is described as a mix of folk, blues and country, with hillbilly and harmony-led vocals, acoustic guitar picking and a rough-edged bar-room style.

Early activity and live work

Before releasing recorded material, the band spends two summers playing well-received festival sets across the UK. During this period they also appear as support for Alabama 3 and Tim Burgess of The Charlatans.

Recordings and releases

The Blind Hearts then record their debut single in a London studio and emerge with material that becomes two EPs released in 2010. One single, (Oh Lord and I) Keep On Losing, is taken up for a compilation by the Midlands label Horus Music. The track is also featured as unsigned Pick of the Week on Absolute Radio.
