Sophie Jamieson is a British singer-songwriter whose work is rooted in folk. She begins writing songs at the age of nine and later develops her live performance experience while in Cambridge, where she explores the university music scene.

Career

Jamieson returns to London in June 2013 and releases the EP Where on Folkroom Records. The record brings her attention through multiple end-of-year lists and a long-list placement for Blog Sound of 2014. It contains five songs produced by Ben Walker: Waterloo, Dinah, The Weight Comes, I Don't and Ode To The East. She also contributes a track to Folkroom Records’ Anthology Two compilation.

In April 2014 she issues the double A-side single Stain/Other through Luv Luv Luv Records. She later releases the EP Hammer in 2020.

Jamieson performs live with accompaniment from Liam Hoflay, Alex Betancourt and Amos Memon.
