Sofi Tukker is a New York-based electronic music duo formed in 2014. The group consists of Sophie Hawley-Weld and Tucker Halpern.

Background

Hawley-Weld is originally German and describes herself as Brazilian at heart because of her interest in Latin and African rhythms. Halpern was a basketball player before an injury ended his sporting career and led him into music. Both members live in New York.

Style and releases

The duo works in dance, dance-pop, EDM and electronic music. Its releases include the 2016 EP Soft Animals, the 2018 album Treehouse, and the 2019 EP Dancing on the People.
