Skitsystem

Skitsystem is a crust punk band from Gothenburg, Sweden, active since 1994. The group also works under the name Shit System, or literally “Shitsystem”. It begins as a four-piece formed by musicians with backgrounds in different metal bands and a shared interest in raw punk, d-beat and käng. The band first comes together for an informal jam and beer session in 1994, and initially uses the name System Collapse before adopting Skitsystem.

The group’s line-up includes Fredrik Wallenberg, Alexander Höglind and Mikael Kjellman. Members of the band also play in Martyrdöd. Skitsystem is associated with crust punk, d-beat, grindcore and hardcore punk.
