Roger José Cury, known simply as Rogê, is a Brazilian singer, composer, and instrumentalist. He is born and raised in Rio de Janeiro. In 2000, he released his first CD independently. His music is steeped in the rich cultural influences of his native country, with a mix of samba, bossa nova and reggae. With his warm voice and compelling melodies he creates a unique style that is both traditional and contemporary. His lyrics, which are mainly about the colorful culture and social landscape of Brazil, connect people from all over the world. Along with Arlindo Cruz and Arlindo Neto, he composed Rio de Janeiro's theme song for the 2016 Olympics, Os deuses do Olimpo visitam o Rio de Janeiro. He has performed alongside artists such as João Bosco, Luiz Melodia, Bezerra da Silva, Arlindo Cruz, Marcelo Falcão, Duani, Marcelo D2, Moraes Moreira, Beth Carvalho, Sandra de Sá, and others. In 2024 he released his tenth album, Curyman II.
