Polar Caps

Polar Caps is the project of singer-songwriter and producer Owen Hughes-Holland. He starts the act in summer 2011 and works in a style described as alternative electroacoustic pop, with tags including indietronica, electropop, indie pop, synth pop and alt pop.

Releases

His debut EP, Solutions, is the first release associated with Polar Caps. A second EP, Altitudes, is completed and has singles and music videos in place.

Performances and exposure

Polar Caps shares stages with Example, The Cribs, AlunaGeorge, Jake Bugg and DJ Fresh. The act also appears on NME.com and MTV Artists, and receives attention on social media from Stacey Solomon and Alex Zane. He also gains a clothing company endorsement.

Reception

Coverage describes his melodies as strong and his genre-mixing as distinctive, and one review calls the six-track release polished and fully developed.
