Paper Dollhouse

Paper Dollhouse is a group made up of Nina Bosnic and Astrud Steehouder, who also works under the name The Rayographs and Bosnic as formerly of Liberez. The project begins with a set of demo recordings made on keyboard and dictaphone, before guitars and vocals are gradually added to the sound.

Their music is described as having a strong cinematic quality, with blues-inflected, psychedelic and fairy-tale elements. It is also associated with ambient, ambient pop and freak folk.

The group’s debut album, A Box Painted Black, is released on Bird/Finders Keepers, and is followed by Aeonflower in 2015.
