Out Like a Lion

Out Like a Lion is a British group formed in Bristol in 2009. The band is active and plays math rock and rock, with tags also linking it to indie, pop punk and punk pop.

Formation and members

The group forms around four musicians: Matthew Aldus on vocals and guitar, Richard Gully on bass and vocals, James Scott on guitar and vocals, and Max Blunos on drums. It comes together in October 2009 from members of two local Bristol bands. Rich and Matt previously play together in Mathematics, while James and Max play in Blackchalk. After both earlier bands break up because of musical differences, a mutual friend introduces Max to Rich, and the four form Out Like a Lion.
