Moscow Drug Club

Moscow Drug Club is a musical group whose sound draws on 1930s Berlin cabaret, Hot Club de France, New Orleans funeral parade music and gypsy campfire traditions. The group presents original material alongside songs associated with Jacques Brel, Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits, Mario Lanza, Bertolt Brecht and Duke Ellington.

Their music is described through images of eastern European streets and late-night jam sessions, with references to Django Reinhardt, Tom Waits and local Tziganes. The act is associated with gypsy, cabaret and Berlin cabaret styles, and its material is presented as a darkly comic, intimate blend of these influences.
