Male Bonding

Male Bonding is a British indie rock band from Dalston, London, active since 2007. The group consists of Robin Silas Christian and John Arthur Webb. It begins as a noise rock and punk act rooted in the DIY scene in Dalston, with early releases credited in upper case as MALE BONDING.

Formation and early activity

The band forms in Dalston and makes its first live appearance at a house party called “RAGE!”. That event leads to a split 7-inch release with PENS on the band’s own label, Paradise Vendors Inc., which sells out within a week.

Releases

Male Bonding releases seven records to date, including a Flipper tribute 7-inch on Domino Records with PPM Allstars, Lovvers and Ponytail. The group also releases two albums: Nothing Hurts and Endless Now.

Tours and live shows

The band tours the UK with Vivian Girls and plays shows with a wide range of acts including Lovvers, HEALTH, Fucked Up, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Graffiti Island, Mika Miko, These Are Powers, NISENNENMONDAI, Magik Markers and Finally Punk.
