Little Man Tate

Little Man Tate are an indie and rock group from Sheffield, United Kingdom. The band forms in 2005 and consists of Dan Fields, Edward Marriott, Ben Surtees and Jon Windle.

Career

The group quickly attracts interest from record labels and signs to V2 Records in March 2006. It parts ways with the label in November 2007. Its first single, The Agent, is issued on 7-inch with Just Can't Take It on the B-side, and the release sells out its 1,800-copy pre-order run. Its fifth single, Sexy In Latin, reaches number 20 on the official UK singles chart, making it the band's highest-charting single.

Albums and later activity

The follow-up to About What You Know, titled Nothing Worth Having Comes Easy, is released in 2008. After the band splits in 2009, Jon Windle, described as the former lead singer and songwriter, releases a solo album, Step Out The Man, through Tiny Teeth Records in 2010. The band later returns for a one-off single, Boy in the Anarak, and a homecoming show in Sheffield, and then works on Welcome to the Rest of Your Life.
