Kings Horses

Kings Horses are a San Francisco group active from 1969 to 1970. They are a folk rock and garage rock band, and they are described as a 1960s US garage rock act from San Francisco, California. The group comprises Rich Fifield, Chris Herold, Matt Kelly and David Torbert.

The band records and releases a self-titled debut album. It is recorded live and is noted for its strong sound despite using only one electric guitar. Their music is characterised by heavy guitar solos, melodic interludes and occasional synth effects from a Kaossilator, alongside prominent vocals.

The group also shares a connection with The Doves through the same high school. Their album is described as having an especially full and effective sound for a live recording, reflecting the band’s musicianship and arrangement style.
