Junkman's Choir are a music band from Ayrshire, Scotland who define their sound as "a heady gumbo of semtexmex-stompabilly-shanty-punk." Formed in 2003, Junkman's Choir includes members from disbanded Ayrshire groups Nyah Fearties and Dub Skelper. It takes its name from a lyric by USA musician Tom Waits in his 1999 song Come on up to the House. This summer they released "The Uprising EP" consisting of four songs, The Uprising, Cheap Disguise, Martyrs and Machines, and a rendition of Brian Goss' original, "Take Me Down."
