Joyce the Librarian

Joyce the Librarian is a Bristol band fronted by singer-songwriter Martin Callingham. Formed in summer 2010, the group plays a blend of acoustic and electric instruments, including two guitars, cello, organ, drums and percussion on some songs, and trumpet and flugelhorn on a single recording.

The band signs to Folkwit Records and releases its first LP, They May Put Land Between Us. Before that, it issues the EP The Weight of the Line in January 2012. Its sound combines strings, delicately plucked acoustic guitars, organ and layered harmonies.

Joyce the Librarian also supports Euros Childs on tour in December 2011.
