John Foxx

John Foxx is the stage name of Dennis Leigh, an English musician from Chorley, Lancashire, who is born in 1947. He is best known as the original lead singer of Ultravox, which first performs as Tiger Lily before taking the Ultravox! name, and he later begins a solo career in 1979.

Career

Foxx works across ambient, art rock, electronic, new wave and post-punk, and is associated with synthpop and synth-pop as well. After leaving Ultravox, he builds a solo catalogue and also records and performs with a range of collaborators. These include John Foxx and the Maths, John Foxx & Steve D'Agostino, John Foxx and the Belbury Circle, John Foxx and Jori Hulkkonen, John Foxx & Robin Guthrie, John Foxx & Louis Gordon, and John Foxx and Ade Fenton.
