Jackson Firebird

Jackson Firebird is a two-piece rock group from Mildura, Australia, formed in 2006. The duo builds its sound around heavy guitar, distorted vocals, hard-hitting drums and an unusual amplified upside-down bottle bin, which is part of its stage setup and recordings.

Background

The group develops from the small country town of Mildura in northern Victoria and establishes a following in Australia. It plays a hard rock and garage rock style with an Australian rock and rock and roll edge.

Performances and support slots

Jackson Firebird performs in cities including Adelaide and Melbourne and supports acts such as Tim Rogers, Airborne, Little Birdie, The Fumes and The Screaming Jets.

Recordings

In March 2008, the group records a professional five-track EP and a video clip for its first single, “Bottle Bin”. Producer Matt Lovell, known for work with Something For Kate, Shihad and The Mess Hall, and Kram work on the recording.
