Helpless

Helpless is a grindcore, mathcore, hardcore and sludge metal group from Saltillo, Coahuila, active since 2021. The band is made up of young musicians and works within the heavier, more abrasive end of punk and metal.

The group’s sound is associated with dissonant, discordant and technically inventive sludge-inflected punk and metal. It is linked to the noisier, more technical side of labels such as Hydra Head, Robotic Empire and Black Market Activities.

One member previously plays in Brotherhood of the Lake, moving from guitar to drums in Helpless. That connection is presented as an important part of the band’s identity and sound.

Helpless stands out within its local scene for this blend of grinding intensity, technical detail and sludge weight.
