Harbinger

Harbinger is a punk group from Berkeley, United States, active since 1997. The band features Aaron Cometbus and Robert Eggplant, and is associated with the East Bay punk scene. Its line-up in this form also includes John Geek on bass and vocals.

Line-up and background

Robert Eggplant handles vocals and guitar. He is known for work with Blatz and The Hope Bombs, and for editing the zine Absolutely Zippo. Aaron Cometbus plays drums; he is a founding member of Crimpshrine and the writer behind the punk zine Cometbus. John Geek contributes bass and vocals and is linked to Fleshies and the S.P.A.M. Records collective.

Recordings and performances

Harbinger releases a 10-song LP on Riisk in 2005 titled Challenging The Prevailing Judeo-Christian Doomsday Mentality. The tracks are recorded by Kevin Army in 2001. The band also performs at Geekfest and at other venues.
