Fear the Fallen

Fear the Fallen is a modern rock band from Lancaster, Ohio, formed in early January 2011. The group develops around melodic vocals, drums, bass and guitars, and is made up of Mitch Kirkpatrick on lead vocals and guitar, Kris “Games” James on drums and vocals, Ben Boice on guitar and vocals, Rob Collins on bass and vocals, and Jentzen Rohr on guitar.

Background

Mitch Kirkpatrick and Kris “Games” James play together for years before forming Fear the Fallen. During that period they tour across Ohio and the United States and open for acts including Sevendust, Hinder and 10 Years. They also headline venues such as the Newport Music Hall and LC Pavilion in Columbus, Ohio with the band 7th Cycle. After leaving 7th Cycle in October 2010, Kirkpatrick begins looking for new musicians to build a new modern rock project.

Line-up and earlier connections

Ben Boice and Rob Collins previously play with Kirkpatrick in the band Driven from Chillicothe. Jentzen Rohr later joins on guitar, completing the line-up described for the band. After a bass player change to Collins and a guitar change to Rohr, Fear the Fallen plays at the Newport Music Hall in front of more than 1,500 people.

Activity

The band plans to release its first album in spring 2012 and to compete for a place at Rock on the Range, while also booking tours across the United States.
