Emmure

Emmure is an American deathcore and metalcore group from New Fairfield, United States, formed in 2003. The band later relocates to Queens, New York.

History and releases

The group begins with the EP The Complete Guide to Needlework in 2006. It signs to Victory Records early in its career and releases its debut full-length, Goodbye to the Gallows, in 2007. Further albums on Victory follow with The Respect Issue in 2008, Felony in 2009, and Speaker of the Dead in 2011.

After completing an initial four-album contract, Emmure renews with Victory Records for two more records: Slave to the Game in 2012 and Eternal Enemies in 2014. The band then ends its relationship with Victory in 2016 and signs to SharpTone Records. Its first releases for the label are Look at Yourself and Hindsight. Emmure has released eight studio albums in total.

Line-up and identity

Frankie Palmeri is the founding vocalist and the only remaining original member. He is born in 1986. Emmure’s public identity is strongly associated with Palmeri’s outspoken and controversial presence within the metalcore scene.
