Dyed Soundorom is a French DJ and producer associated with the Paris club scene and the house, minimal and electronic styles. He becomes involved in club culture in Paris in the late 1990s after being drawn to electronic music through Michael Jackson’s Thriller and mixtapes from his older brother.
Early career in Paris
He starts out as a promoter before moving into DJing. His early profile grows through the React parties at Les Bains Douches, where he helps establish an underground reputation. He also plays at Paris parties such as Alcazar and Batofar, and his audience in the city includes fashion and art crowds as well as club regulars.
Connections and collaborations
At Batofar, he meets Dan Ghenacia, Shonky and :Terry:, and these relationships become lasting creative and personal ties. He shares a similar outlook with them, centred on free-spirited energy and a shared interest in deep electronic music. Dan Ghenacia later invites him, alongside Shonky, to contribute a mix to the Freak n' Chic Rendez-Vous compilation.
He also works with Chloe on the Mezzanine De L'Alcazar compilation, which helps raise his profile further. His first EP is released on Freak n' Chic, a label he works closely with from the beginning of his career.
International work
Dyed Soundorom makes his UK debut after being invited by London promoters Foreign Muck. He then becomes a regular name at clubs including T-Bar and Fabric in London, and also performs across Europe, including in Spain, Italy, Belgium and Germany.
