Deatbeats

Deatbeats are a downtempo electronic duo from Nottingham, United Kingdom. They are also known as The Deadbeats and are made up of Ged Day and Damian Stanley. The group begins releasing music in 1995 and works across downtempo, chillout, lounge and trip-hop styles.

Background

The duo starts out as DJs in Nottingham, from the period associated with The Garage venue. Their productions include tracks such as Feel Good, Funky for You and Made in the Shade, the last of which appears on the album Lounging. They are featured on a number of compilations, including releases associated with Mr. Scruff and Nightmares on Wax.
