Cassy

Cassy, the stage name of Catherine Britton, is a London-born house DJ, producer and singer associated with deep house, minimal, minimal techno, tech house and techno. She leaves England for Austria in 1975 with her father, and later becomes active in the Vienna and Munich scenes before moving to Berlin in 2003.

Early work and move into DJing

Her first musical appearance is as a vocalist for Elin, also known as Autorepeat, on the track Music Takes Me Higher. After that she turns her attention to mixing and DJing, building a profile in the Austrian and German club scenes.

Berlin period and collaborations

After relocating to Berlin, she works with artists including Ricardo Villalobos and Steve Bug. Her first solo release is My Auntie on Perlon Records. She is also associated with Kwench Records.
