Carmen Consoli is an Italian singer-songwriter from Catania, Italy. Born in 1974, she grows up in Sicily, in the town of San Giovanni La Punta near Catania.

She starts playing guitar at fifteen and records her first album, Due Parole, in 1996. That album includes “Amore di plastica”, the song she presents at her first appearance at the Festival di Sanremo.

She has released 10 albums. Her work is associated with pop, and she is also identified with Italian pop and rock songwriting.
