Buraka Som Sistema is a kuduro group from Amadora, Portugal, active since 2006. The project develops a Portuguese form of progressive kuduro by combining techno and electronic production with the rhythms of Angolan kuduro, also written as kuduru.

The group forms around DJ Riot, Lil'John, and Conductor as producers, with Kalaf taking the role of MC. Its work draws on street music and other nearby influences, and it connects kuduro with related styles such as Carioca Funk. The group presents this music as an attempt to bring sounds associated with urban outskirts and ghettos to a wider audience.
