Bombs Away
Bombs Away is an Australian EDM duo made up of Sketch and Tommy Shades. The act begins in 2010 and is based in Australia. It starts as a duo featuring Thomas Coleman and his brother Matthew Coleman, who performs as Sketch. Matthew Coleman is born on the Gold Coast, Australia, and Thomas Coleman is also from the Gold Coast; both later relocate to Perth in early adult life.
Early singles and chart success
Bombs Away’s debut single, Big Booty Bitches, is released in 2010 and reaches number 3 on the Beatport Electro Top 100. The track is certified gold in 2013. The follow-up single, Swagger, appears in early 2011 and receives national airplay on the Nova Network and the Today Network.
Album
In June 2018, Bombs Away release their debut studio album, Fragments. The album includes the singles Like You, Let You Down, Before We Had a Label and Drive Me Home.
Line-up change
In 2021, Matthew “Sketch” Coleman leaves the duo as a touring artist and steps back from centre stage in the Australian music industry. He remains involved in music-related work, with a greater focus on event management.
