In 2003, Abraham decides to stop singing after years of feeling insecure about music and trying to fit in by performing songs he sees as fashionable. He turns away from music and studies screenwriting, developing an interest in film and narrative.

Four years later, he returns to music after meeting a 13-year-old girl in hospital who has anorexia. He writes Let Your Light with her, and the song leads to performances at fundraisers for the Starlight Children's Foundation, where he also tells the story behind it. That experience reconnects him with music as a form of emotional expression.

Abraham performs regularly in Melbourne, including at Manchester Lane, The Wesley Anne and The Toff In Town. He also tours to Sydney and Jakarta.
