Beat Assassins is a UK breakbeat group made up of Joe Lenzie and Jimmy Mofo. The project begins in 2003, when it emerges out of a move away from generic R&B and hip-hop production toward a different sound.

The group is associated with breaks, breakbeat and darker breakbeat styles. The name Beat Assassins is tied to the idea of refusing fixed categories and following a more individual approach to music-making.

Its early release is Far Away from Home The E.P. A.K.A GHETTO ROCK-N-ROLL, which reflects that shift in direction.
