Ayah Marar is a UK-based pop and soul singer-songwriter from Amman, Jordan, born in 1980. She moves between pop, electronic music, drum and bass and liquid funk, and also works as a performer, radio show host and label owner.

Career

Marar relocates to London at 18 and begins recording and performing in the UK. Her first song, Let Me Know, is recorded with Calvin Harris in 2004, and she later works with him on his records. She also provides vocals for Jack Peñate’s Tonight’s Today and Be The One.

She becomes active in the drum and bass scene, appearing on Fabio & Grooverider’s BBC Radio 1 show and co-owning the label Lucky Devil Music. Toddla T and Nextmen also request her for their albums.
