There are two Acid Attacks: 1. A Canadian noise act who has released the full-length "Are We Dead or Alive", "Orbitoclast" alongside a split with Fuck, the retarded girl, which can be downloaded here. 2. A punk band from Southsea near Portsmouth who have released a 12-track studio-recorded cassette LP. Formed in November 1980, their first gig several months later ended in "total riot" following cans being thrown from the crowd. Since then they have gone through numerous line-up changes and are currently looking for a drummer. The band's name refers to LSD and their most well-known song 'Acid Attack', is a criticism of out-of-touch acidheads. "The main idea behind Acid Attack" says Jacko, "is to be a punk rock group not stuck in any neat little categories eg. Crass-punk or Oi!-punk as this restricts you to a certain limit. Punk is supposed to be a non-conformist thing which is exactly what it isn't any more. Each member of the group has their own musical opinion and when writing songs it helps us to get out of one particular vein." The Acid Attack demos will be released on CD in 2015 by "Only Fit For The Bin Records" in the UK. There should also be a vinyl release too.
