Northern Ireland Music Festivals 2026

Northern Ireland's festival scene has grown rapidly in recent years, with Belfast emerging as a genuine festival city and the wider countryside offering spectacular settings for summer outdoor events. Stendhal Festival in County Londonderry is one of the UK's most celebrated independent events, consistently delivering an intimate, community-led experience that punches far above its headline capacity. The Causeway Coast, the Mourne Mountains and the rolling Antrim Plateau provide dramatic natural backdrops, while Derry's walled city and Belfast's Cathedral Quarter host a growing programme of urban music events year-round. Northern Ireland's festival scene reflects its rich and complex cultural heritage — you'll find everything from traditional Irish sessions to indie rock, electronic and hip-hop — and the warmth of Northern Irish audiences is something visiting artists consistently remark upon.
