Pop Music Festivals in East Midlands 2026

The East Midlands punches well above its weight on the UK festival circuit. Download Festival at Donington Park in Leicestershire is one of the world's premier rock and metal events, drawing tens of thousands of fans each June to what has long been considered the spiritual home of British heavy music. Beyond rock, the region's cities — Nottingham, Leicester, Derby — each sustain thriving grassroots music scenes that fuel a busy calendar of urban festivals throughout summer. The Peak District and Derbyshire countryside provide dramatic backdrops for outdoor events, and the region's central location makes it easily reachable from most of England, whether you're travelling from the north, south, east or west.
