Boomtown sizzling line-up for new development Paradise Heights

Festival Crowd Header

Although all tickets sold out in a record 4 months, Boomtown are continuing the flurry of line-up announcements that have already included Gorillaz, Die Antwoord and Limp Bizkit at the top of an extraordinary bill.

The next line up to be released is the all new ‘redeveloped’ Paradise Heights. Rising from the old Mayfair district, this newly redesigned ‘complex’ will replace one of the festivals most long standing and popular theatrical and immersive districts.

With a tagline of ‘Feel better about yourself, become someone else’ the fictional playground for the rich and famous movers and shakers of Boomtown, is a brand new huge multi-complex filled with leisure and relaxation facilities that have become the jewel in the crown of the Bang Hai Real Estate redevelopment programme. As a boomtown trademark, the fully interactive set will be brought to life by over 100 walkabout characters from one of the festivals’ core theatrical crews; The Dank Parish and a full on grand opening will take place hosted by other founding theatrical fathers of Boomtown, the Invisible Circus. Paradise Heights is ready to offer those partaking in this little bit of luxury with the very best backdrop of tropical and global bass, soca, vintage remix and funk & soul.

Starting as Boomtown means to go on, brand new flagship venue Hotel Paradiso will bring the best in underground classics, hip hop and swing, soul and disco tunes to the mix on Thursday evening courtesy of festival favourites Jenna & The G’s, Oh My God It’s The Church, Cut Capers and Too Many T’s. All of whom will set the scene for some serious partying with their musical madness and high energy live shows.

Friday kicks off with Love Carnival meets Tropical Tea Party providing an essential dose of worldwide carnival vibes; Kuenta I Tambu’s infectious Caribbean rhythms are matched by pantropical-bass South Africa-Netherlands Skip&Die. Montreal producer Poirier’s uniquely rhythmic bass melds urban electro with tropicano and fresh sounds from fast rising producer Mina ft Bryte marries West Africa with UK Funky - a formidable sound, plus Love Carnival DJs: Madmax & Cal Jader to name but a few.

Bristol collaborative Swing N Tings bring  the best in vintage remix and electro swing  to the stage on Saturday with the likes of 4 piece Italian band Swingrowers and their jazzy blend of pop and swing,  Sweet Life Society Soundsystem mixing live swing jazz  with an eclectic blend of electronica and the quintessentially British Mr B The Gentleman Rhymer with big beats and rambunctious rhymes surrounding songs of manners and cricket!

Hosted by Edinburgh’s finest Electrikal Sound System, Sunday’s takeover presents the best in worldwide carnival vibes with the Soca Street Party featuring Bristol Trinidad duo Jus Now fusing traditional soca music with trademark Bristol bass. AAA Badboy will be melding party  music from around the globe like only he can, whilst Dub Boy ft Jonesy Wales’ dancehall flirtation brings out the sexy side of soca.

As with all other theatrical districts there will be a selection of theatrical venues to visit. Check out Venus Lounge Casino, Copper Feel Cabaret Live,  Villa Avarice and Skybar.
