Celebrating all that is good about traditional folk and arts the Furness Tradition is one of Cumbria’s finest events. Originally formed in 1997/8 Furness Tradition is a volunteer-run festival which wants to highlight folk traditions, music and dance in Cumbria, with the event held in Ulverston each year.
With live music featuring local artists as well as those from further afield, Furness Tradition also gives plenty of opportunity for festival goers to get involved with workshops, singarounds, traditional dances and more.
As a celebration of more than just the music of folk culture, the Furness Tradition is a welcoming and family friendly weekend, organised each July to attract music and arts fans of all ages.
