Furness Tradition Festival
In its 17th year Ulverston’s Furness Tradition Festival is offering locals and visitors alike the chance to celebrate the folk culture of the region, as well as shining examples of live folk musicians from further afield.
The Furness Tradition is a chance to enjoy the all-encompassing world of traditional folk culture with participation in dance and song encourages as well as many live musicians confirmed. Acts confirmed for this year include: Askew Sisters, Bob Fox, John Spiers, Oss, James and Karl Taylor, Striding Edge, Thieving Magpie and Belfagan.
The festival is about more than simply enjoying the music as the organisation behind the festival want to raise awareness and promote the musical inheritance of the South Cumbria region.
