Honeyfest is the first festival of the year and as such needs to set the bar as far as good times go. The first event was organised in support of the Barge Inn Community Project winners of Village SOS – a joint initiative between the Big Lottery and BBC, which aims to inspire rural regeneration across the UK. The festival had a one hour prime-time documentary broadcast about it’s creation during the Village SOS TV series on BBC 1 in August 2011.
