Glastonbury Festival is undoubtably the largest greenfield music and performing arts festival in the world and a template for all the festivals that have come after it. The difference is that Glastonbury has all the best aspects of being at a Festival in one astonishing bundle, and this being the 40th year anniversary there is no need to worry about the lineup, it's going to be big with some surprise acts thrown into the mix. With music starting on the Friday is doesn't mean that you have to arrive on that day, gates open on Wednesday the 23rd and there is plenty to see and do before the bands start.
