Paper Aeroplanes is a girl and a boy from Westest Wales, now based in the capital of Wales and the capital of England. They make melancholic-tinged acoustic music centred around distinctive vocals. Record of the day called their debut The Day we ran into the Sea : "a confident collection of commercial pop gems" After early spot plays and a successful Bob Harris session on Radio 2, Paper Aeroplanes' third single, Not as Old, was recently been added to the R2 playlist. In 2011 We Are Ghosts, a new mini-album was released. An album which shows a change in approach and a definite feeling of independence, with comparisons already being drawn to Turin Brakes, Mazzy Star and Alison Krauss. Produced, recorded and played entirely by the band in guitarist Richard's flat, the songs are all acoustic lead and have a warm, genuine and sometimes raw feel that the previous album lacked. It was mixed by David Wrench (Kathryn Williams, Stephanie Dosen, Y Niwl, Guillemots). Reviews....
